Founded in 1986, Plusrite is a global company manufacturing high-quality lighting products. Plusrite has sales offices, distribution warehouses and factories worldwide, including North America. Plusrite prides itself on using the finest materials, global standard production techniques, and progressive innovation to deliver first-class lighting. They are known for creating excellent HID, tungsten halogen and fluorescent lamps. Plusrite currently offers more than 1,000 different lighting options. One of the company’s most popular products are high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. These electrical gas-discharge arc lamps use tungsten electrodes to emit brilliant light. In fact, HID lamps produce more visible light than fluorescent and incandescent lamps because they radiate a lower proportion of infrared light. Incandescent halogen lamps are also popular among Plusrite’s offerings. These lights, also known as tungsten halogen, quartz-halogen, and quartz iodine lamps, utilize the chemical reaction between halogen gas and tungsten filaments, which recycles evaporated tungsten back into the filament. Halogen lamps operate at higher temperatures, and they have higher color temperature and luminous efficacy. Plusrite is also known for its line of fluorescent and compact fluorescent lamps (CFL). These produce light through a low-pressure mercury-vapor gas-discharge system that utilizes fluorescence. Through a process more efficient than what is found in incandescent lamps, CFLs use electrical energy to make useful light.
